ACE FREHLEY

ACE

It is not often known how extensive Ace's career and influence is over entire generations of
musicians. Most fans don't realize if it weren't for Ace Frehley's style, musicianship and stage presence, bands such as Pantera, Anthrax, and Skid Row may have never come to pass. In short, Ace influenced music in a way that only a handful of other guitarists have.

Return Of The Comet

Return of the Comet features former members of Kiss, Frehley's Comet, Guns N Roses, and also includes Pantera, Sound Garden, Cheap Trick, and more."We tried to make this album as authentic as possible", says Douglas Snazel, Executive Producer of the album "We enlisted engineers who worked on the original KISS records, we enlisted members and musicians who have played with Ace Frehley their whole lives. We even

used the mastering labs that produced the last two Ace Frehley compilations. No detail of authenticity was left undone." There are 17 all star tracks in all, a tribute album to one of rock and roll's greatest characters!

NEWS

Family Values: Good news for metal fans. A new festival entitled Family Values will be going on the road this summer. Confirmed acts for the show are Korn, Limp Bizkit, and Orgy and co-organizer Jeff Kwantinetz, Korn's manager, is reportedly negotiating with a number of other headline-status acts. The shows are planned for arenas as opposed to the usual outdoor scene. We will keep you updated as more info is released.

Marilyn Manson:  An 18-year-old Marilyn Manson fan, John Schroeder, was arrested
in Texas last Thursday for wearing a Manson T-Shirt. The shirt bore a lyric from Manson's
song "Cake And Sodomy" which read "I am the god of fuck." Schroeder was shopping
with his mom, who apparently had no problem with the shirt, when an off-duty policeman
working security told him some shoppers had complained. Allegedly the officer walked
Schroeder outside and asked passersby if they found the shirt offensive, and all but one
person laughed and said no.Schroeder offered to remove the shirt, but instead was
arrested for misdemeanor obscene display, jailed for a few hours, and fined $125.

Max Cavalera is currently in England with his new band Soulfly working on a new
album "Eye For An Eye,"which should be released in April. Soulfly includes Roy
Mayorga (drums) and Marcelo Dias (bass) and LucioMaia (guitar).

Cavalera has also been sitting in on some shows with the Deftones who are on a tour
of Europe. The Deftones were friends of his stepson, Dana Wells, who died in a traffic
accident in Phoenix a year and a half ago. Cavalera had previously teamed up with the
band to record a song written for Wells, "Head Up," which was featured on the Deftones
album released this past October. They performed it together Wednesday night on French
TV's Canal Plus.

Sepultura announced in a press release that they have new management, a new record
planned for the summer and that they are actively seeking a replacement singer.

Sweden's Black Sun Records are compiling a Sepultura tribute album featuring The
Crown ("Arise"), Diabolique ("We Are Not As Others"), Impious ("Inner Self"), Denial
("Ratamahatta"), Sacramentum ("Necromancer"), Swordmaster ("Morbid Visions"),
Ton of Bricks("Roots"), Gardenian("Cut Throat"), and Dimension Zero ("Troops Of
Doom").

AC/DC tribute entitled "Thunderbolt" has been released in Japan with a bonus-track
cover of "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be" featuring Zakk Wylde, Rudy Sarzo, and Simon
Wright.

Vinnie Vincent  former Kiss guitarist is working on a boxset. Vinnie is now in the last
stages of assembly and completion
